Classic Strawberry Shortcake

This is a very well-made, classic, not-too-sweet strawberry shortcake. The kind of cake with moist and flavourful layers and is so light that you don’t feel heavy after eating it. This is exactly how a cake should be, light, delicate, and flavourful.

I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to eating overly sweet buttercream/fondant/custard-type cakes with dry cake layers that give me a toothache and causes my sugar levels to spike.

This is a very good cake, the sponge cake is not too light and airy, lots of strawberries in the layers, and the cream is nice and light and not too sweet.

It was delivered in perfect condition and it looked as beautiful as it tasted. Everyone loved it. As previous reviews have noted, not too sweet and a lovely soft and moist crumb. Will order again. Served 20 ppl, a thin slice. No complaints.
