This is a very well-made, classic, not-too-sweet strawberry shortcake. The kind of cake with moist and flavourful layers and is so light that you don’t feel heavy after eating it. This is exactly how a cake should be, light, delicate, and flavourful.

I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to eating overly sweet buttercream/fondant/custard-type cakes with dry cake layers that give me a toothache and causes my sugar levels to spike.

This is a very good cake, the sponge cake is not too light and airy, lots of strawberries in the layers, and the cream is nice and light and not too sweet.
