Our Asian-inspired Osmanthus Cream Cake is not-too-sweet with a light floral note. Osmanthus is an aromatic flower native to East Asia.
This cake is made of:
- House-made honey osmanthus
- Osmanthus-infused cream
- Fluffy vanilla sponge cake with lemony syrup
- Topped with a layer of osmanthus flower jelly

The cake had a nice floral flavour and was not overtly sweet. Texture of the cake and frosting was great, though the texture of the hardened gel decoration was a bit odd. Folks mostly ate around that, and it didn't detract from the cake. Flavour was best the first three days, by day four it seemed as if the flavour dissipated a bit.

First time trying floral osmanthus and it was a hit! I wasn’t sure if the floral taste would be overpowering but it was perfect. Very subtle with hints of citrus. Love that the cake is not so sweet and light. Would order again!
